Ise Jingū is located in Ise City. It consists of two shrines: the Outer Shrine (Gekū, 外宮), which is dedicated to Toyouke, the kami of clothing, food and housing, and the Inner Shrine (Naikū, 内宮), which enshrines Amaterasu, the Sun Goddess. They are Shinto’s most sacred shrines. This photo shows the Inner Shrine’s Hiyoke Bridge.
