Caffe Bernini is named after the medieval Italian sculptor and architect, Gianlorenzo Bernini (1598-1680). Iwasaki-san, the owner, opened the shop in 1999 with the mission of “helping customers enjoy high-quality, timeless, healthy coffee at home”. The father-son duo is committed to carefully handcrafting each product, striving to create flavors that are free of unpleasant sourness or bitterness, and that emphasize balance and ease of drinking. The shop has a few seats where on some weekdays customers can enjoy a cup carefully hand-dripped by Iwasaki-san. On other days, they are open for selling their variety of roasts, as well as coffee-making accessories.
